I collect neologisms for my newsletter English in Progress. Sometimes I find them myself on social media (by searching for “English language” and similar). Then I write a blog post about them, because I don’t like linking to social media in my newsletter.
“Gooning” is either masturbating a lot, or masturbating in such a way that you bring yourself close to orgasm but never cross the edge, leading to a trance-like state. This is known as “edging”, but edging could also be done with a partner, so “gooning” then is edging by masturbation.
Like the questioner above, I do not know what “microgooning” might be, but I’m intrigued! Googling it gives me lots of links I really don’t want to click. Hopefully someone will come back to me with a definition!
